Proffitts and Rossendale Borough Council building up a relationship on play
Our latest project with Rossendale Borough Council involves working with them to attract Playbuilder funding to the Rossendale area. The Playbuilder funding stems from the Department of Children, Schools and Families and is in place to support and challenge local authorities to invest in play and transform local areas into innovative and adventurous play spaces.
Rossendale Borough Council and Proffitts will be working on applying for the funding over the next few weeks. Using the boroughs Play Strategy for direction, 3 potential sites have been prioritised from the available funding stream.
Jason Foster, Operations Manager from Rossendale Borough Council commented “I have worked with Proffitts on a number of projects in the past, they have a good understanding of the concept of play and are able to interpret well what a particular community want from their local play space”
3 applications will be submitted by the 7th December.
Proffitts – Investing in Communities launch its new web site
Proffitts are proud to announce the launch of its web site. Just over twelve months from being established Proffitts have already delivered a full range of work on behalf of a number of clients. The web site aims to display the type of projects which have recently been / currently are being delivered, giving any potential client an insight and confidence in Proffitts capabilities.
Martin Proffitt, director of the community interest company said “I am particularly looking forward to utilising the interactive elements of the website, were people can comment on live projects at essential stages and give immediate direction”
Many thanks to Kellystudio for an outstanding job in creating the site.
