Good news – we’ll be doing some further consultation in Werneth High School on Wednesday 7th November. The aim is to promote the parkour facility idea and gain feedback from the pupils. Pupils at Werneth High School – if you’re reading this we need you help! Please look at the designs that have been produced by Natural Sport and Russell Play and fill in the survey either by clicking on this link https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/goytparkour or by filling out a paper questionnaire – get one off Martin at lunchtime on 7th November when he visits.

Here are a couple of pictures of another Parkour project – just to give you an idea what to expect:

Hi everyone – we had a great morning meeting some local residents talking to them about Parkour and the proposals intended for surrounding the play area just off Bents Avenue, Bredbury. Lots of good feedback and direction in terms of how we can improve the proposal….that’s what consultation is all about! Below are some of the ideas from Russell Play and Natural Sport – thank you guys.

Which design do you like the most?

What do you like the most?

Do you have any further suggestions of improvement? Please leave your comments below.

We will be visiting local schools shortly to gain further feedback but please do feel free to comment below.

We’re really looking forward to meeting local residents at the second phase of consultation on Friday 7th Sep, 11am at the Jean Byers Hub. We will be displaying visuals relating to parkour, which will help people understand the increasingly popular concept. A very big THANK YOU to everyone who completed the survey as part of the recent consultations. Particular thanks goes to the staff and pupils at Werneth School. In total, we had 285 responses. The next step is for us to meet with the council and work towards finding the funding needed to make the improvements – with a focus on parkour / free-running. Thanks again – watch this space for more updates!

Hi everyone! Thanks for visiting the Goyt Valley Youth Provision page. We have set this up to try and work out how the existing play area can be improved to cater for other activities such / maybe more adventurous equipment such as Parkour / Free Running. We are working with the local Community Hub, Stockport Council and Mossbank Homes…and now you guys! It’s a long process and we will only be able to make improvements with your help to convince funders that the project is needed. So please do complete the Survey Monkey survey or, if you have a paper one, complete that and drop off a the school reception or at The Hub on Bents Avenue. Cheers – we promise it will only take 5 minutes to complete!
