Although much of the work at Moller ring is complete, we’ve popped some signs up asking people to keep off the play area for a little while – just until the turf establishes.

We’ll let you know as soon as the site if fully open!

The contractors at Moller Ring are hoping to finish most of their work on site next week – which is great news! However, we need to keep the site closed for a further few weeks to let the turf establish and organise some finishing touches. Here’s how it looks at the moment… 😀

Since our last update, the team at Moller Ring have managed to get some tarmac on to the paths, and the seating and sand filled carpet has been installed too. In spite of the rain, the team have continued to work really hard and it’s all still moving forwards. Hoping it’ll all come together nicely over the next few weeks!

Just a reminder that this phase of work will focus on upgrading the the play area with some new, traditional timber play equipment like a climbing frame and swings, as well as natural play elements like earth mounds, tunnels, bridges and a new trim trail with balance beams and monkey bars. Entrance improvements, drainage works, safety surfacing, wildflower planting and tree works will all also take place.
