Another successful project completed! Thanks to all those involved, and to everyone who supported the consultation and delivery.

We are carrying out improvements following on from consultation carried out in 2015. The following feedback was recorded:
– You would like to see a community space/building – we have achieved this! come and visit us!
– You would like to see activities for children and young people as well as community and adult learning. We are doing this – please pop into the hub for more information on the activities we have on offer.

Proffitts would like to congratulate Mossbank Homes on the official opening of their newly refurbished Bredbury Community Hub. The Hub has been totally refitted to provide a community space, with fully fitted kitchen and a bank of computers. The community room can be used for a variety of activities and as a learning centre. IT workshops are about to begin, delivered by ‘Starting Point Community Learning Partnership’

Fab morning with the Mossbank Homes team – great meeting some new faces too. First stop – Snig Hole Park – a fantastic project which has transformed the area and the lives of the community. Judging by the photos, we think the Mossbank Homes team had fun 🙂

Partnership work with Mossbank Homes is progressing very well. The Proffitts’ team are getting to know Tenant Reps from each of Mossbank Homes operating areas and have organised an inspirational visit to key community projects on the 11 March – we look forward to welcoming them to Rossendale. Proffitts’ team members, Liz & Linda, will also be talking to local residents and community leaders on each Mossbank Homes estate over the next few weeks. We are really looking forward to getting out and about and talking to people – we want to know what issues affect the local community and how we can work together to solve these issues. Keep checking back for updates.
We are delighted to announce that we are now acting as Funding Advisor and working in partnership on the Mossbank Homes Community and Environment programme. Essentially, this means that we will be seeking finance from external funding streams and developing the skills and knowledge base of the Mossbank Homes team. The main focus over the next 12 months will be centred around environmental and community based projects in the area. An exciting year indeed – we are looking forward to the positive and successful journey ahead for us all.
