High Spirits in Lowton

Very nearly forgot to mention this one! There was a brilliant community feel at a newly refurbished play area in Lowton at the weekend just gone. Local community group Oaklands and Meadows Community Association organised a great day to celebrate the fact that a new toddler area had been completed. Funding for the area was secured from Community Spaces by the group who worked closley with Wigan Leisure Trust in order to get the area on the ground. The celebratory event was well organised and was a hit with everyone having Punch and Judy, childrens comedian, raffle, DJ, bouncy castle. Thanks Tina and Darren for the invite!
