Three years on from completion and this project sill looks beautiful! The gardens have been well maintained and are well used by the Church for their regular community events 🙂
Proffitts designed a community garden in the church grounds based on the feedback from the extensive consultation undertaken by the Church. The garden is ‘themed’, according to the main activities including a Formal Garden, Peace Garden and Community Garden.
The aim of the project is to encourage the many existing church user groups to use the garden space as well as the main Church facilities. It will encourage community involvement in the garden as well as complimenting the newly refurbished church interior and providing a space for residents and group members to come together.
The work was tendered by Proffitts and the work completed by contractor Landscape Engineering, in time for a hugely successful launch event in October 2011, involving hundreds of people from the local community.
This project was completed in 2012.
