It’s been a busy week so far – a mix of soggy, breezy and sunny walks but they’ve all been enjoyable! Great to see new faces everyday and looking forward to the next few walks. Don’t forget, the walks are taking place up to this Sunday so don’t forget to click on the links below to find out where and when these take place – see you there! Here’s a few photos from the past week.

Oops – we made a mistake! On the ‘Bacup Tong Lane walks’ programme below, we said the starting point was going to be the Bacup Family Centre on Rochdale Road. We actually meant to say that it is ‘The Maden Centre’ on Rochdale Road. (The Family Centre is somewhere else in Bacup – sorry!!!)

Hopefully, this was quite obvious to you as there is only one ‘centre’ on Rochdale Road! But just to be sure, we’ll be there with our hi vis vests on so everyone can see us! Thanks

From 28 July to Sunday 9th August, we are going to be leading a series of guided walks in Bacup and Haslingden. This a partnership project with Rossendale Borough Council as part of the Up and Active programme, which aims to get people to exercise more and keep fit. All participants can pledge to do more exercise and are given a bar code that they can scan each time they do an activity as part of the programme.

As a part of this programme, we have put together two walks programmes (see below) based in the wards of Worsley and Irwell

Bacup walk programme

Haslingden walk programme

If you live in these areas, come and join us!

For your information, most of the other events/activities are run at the Council owned leisure centres.
