It’s always great to get such positive feedback – especially from organisations like Prospects Foundation. Thanks to Mike Stapelford, Charity Manager and Social Enterprise Manager, for his comment below:
‘‘Once again, many thanks to Rachael & all at Proffitts for managing this project on our behalf. We’re always confident using Proffitts knowing that they have the knowledge and experience to cover the design specification, tender and then on-site management of the works with contractors. And they’re also very nice people to work with too!”

A lovely walk with Coco the cockerpoo along the new pathways through Jubilee Woodland. It’s a beautiful place to visit. The paths are part of the wider footpath network in Baxenden and link with Hollins Wood and National Cycle Network route 6 along the disused railway line. A huge THANK YOU to Prospects Foundation for leading on this, and to the organisations who supported and funded the work including Baxenden Community Forum, Lancashire Environment Fund, Hyndburn Borough Council and Lancashire County Council. Big thanks also go to the team from Groundwork Landscapes Ltd.

It’s been a mixture of sunshine, rain and hailstones but the team from Groundwork Landscapes Ltd have made great progress this week on footpaths at Jubilee Woods!

Proffitts are working alongside Prospects Foundation on a project to provide a new path surface along popular desireline paths through Jubilee Woodland. These paths are part of the wider footpath network in Baxenden and will create links with Hollins Wood and National Cycle Network route 6 along the disused railway line creating circular routes and better access. You can see current pictures and plans for the area below. The project has been supported and funded by Baxenden Community Forum, Lancashire Environment Fund, Hyndburn Borough Council and Lancashire County Council and work will start on site in January 2021.
