Moller Ring Play, Crawshawbooth
11.09.2023
We’re thrilled to let you know that, thanks to funding from the teams at FCC Community Action Fund, Lancashire Environment Fund and Rossendale Borough Council, work to improve the play space at Moller Ring will begin on site in October 2023. This phase of work will focus on upgrading the the play area only, and will include installing traditional timber play equipment like a climbing frame and swings, as well as natural play elements like earth mounds, tunnels, bridges and a new trim trail with balance beams and monkey bars too. Entrance improvements, drainage works, safety surfacing, wildflower planting and tree works will all also take place to make the play area a much more colourful and welcoming place to visit.
The contractor will be on site until January / February 2023, depending on weather. We’ll continue to update you here, so do check back for news 🙂

We’ve been busy consulting with local residents and users about the play space at Moller Ring – thank you to everyone who has responded to the survey. The details will now be passed on to our landscape architect who will produce a draft design for the area. We’ll share this with you all once we have it. Thanks again for sharing your ideas.

Delighted to announce that we will be working on the Moller Ring play area at Crawshawbooth, Rossendale. We had our first site meeting last week with Rossendale Borough Council to discuss proposals and next steps. There’s a lot of excitement and enthusiasm for the improvement of the area, so we’re really looking forward to meeting residents and visitors over the following months. In the meantime, if you would like to know more, please feel free to comment below and we’ll get back to you.
