‘The Stacksteads Community Improvement Plan (SCIP) is now available to view online and is a great example of what can be achieved by a group of volunteers (SCPG) and a positive community. Working with SCPG and residents we carried out extensive community consultation. The responses and feedback were analysed and a community plan put together. The plan identifies key concerns and ideas for improvements to the area and will be used by SCPG as a working document over the next few years. The report covers Short Term Actions, Medium Term Aims and Long Term strategic actions. SCPG would like to thank everyone who participated in the consultation’.

The consultation has now ended and we are currently analysing the feedback from the community. Working with SCPG, we will be identifying key concerns, ideas for improving Stacksteads and also specific project ideas that SCPG and the community can work together on over the next few years. Thank you to everyone who took the time to fill in a questionnaire or to complete the online survey, we had a great response. SCPG will shortly be picking the winner of the prize draw from those who gave their contact details.

Proffitts are working with Stacksteads Countryside Park Group (SCPG) to ask the residents in Stacksteads their thoughts about the town. We want to know if there are any issues; ways in which the area could be improved; new project ideas and ways in which the community can get involved.

The results of this questionnaire will be used to create ‘Stacksteads Community Improvement Plan’ (SCIP) which identifies areas for improvement and potential sources of funding. SCPG will then use this to work with the community to make improvements in the area over the next few years.

This project is called ‘First Steps’ and is part of My Community Programme from Locality working in partnership with Community Development Foundation.

Please click on the questionnaire link above to give us your thoughts. Thank you.
