Whinney Hill, Accrington

The team from Wade Group have worked hard and the work at Whinney Hill has been completed a little earlier than expected!

The project, driven by Lancashire County Council, Hyndburn Council and the team at Prospects Foundation has seen paths and drainage upgraded to enable better access all around the Whinney Hill site.

The works were generously funded by Lancashire Environment Fund, Lancashire County Council and Hyndburn Council (section 106). We hope that all the regular visitors are pleased with the changes, and that many new visitors are encouraged to explore the site too!

Work at the Whinney Hill site is going well…improvements already being made, and the contractors hope to be finished in a few weeks (weather permitting).

It’s great to be part of projects that improve access to our local green spaces 🙂

We’re delighted to be working alongside Lancashire County Council, Hyndburn Council and the team at Prospects Foundation on a project to upgrade paths and drainage to give better access all around the Whinney Hill site in Accrington. The project has been funded by Lancashire Environment Fund, Lancashire County Council and Hyndburn Council (section 106).

The contractors from Wade Group are due to start on site from 20th January, and we’re expecting them to be there for the following 6 weeks – weather permitting 🙂
