Thank you to everyone who has already completed the Worsley Park Improvements Survey

If you haven’t had chance yet, then please let us have your thoughts and suggestions as soon as possible – the survey link will close soon! You can do this by clicking on the link here Worsley Park Improvements Survey

Just a reminder that the proposal suggests approaching the work in 3 phases:

The focus for phase 1 will be upgrading the play area including pathways, surfacing and planting around the site, and will also involve adding a natural play space.

Suggestions for phase 2 include refurbishment of the tennis courts, improving access to the bowling green and installing new seating and tables around the park.

A wildflower meadow and a growing area with raised beds and edible herbs, fruit and vegetables will be created in phase 3. The group also hope to renovate the existing Pavilion to provide space for community events and activities.

Work to upgrade pathways and surfacing will take place during all three phases. Woodland management to improve the biodiversity in the park will also take place throughout the project and will include replanting new woodland understorey layer of shrubs, herbaceous plants and bulbs

It’s a big space, so the work will be approached in 3 phases:

IWorsley Park Masterplan DRAFT 212x300 1

26.01.2022

Proffitts are delighted to be working alongside Rossendale Borough Council and Rising Bridge Community Association on plans to improve Worsley Park in Acre Village near Haslingden. The first step will be to share a masterplan outlining some changes that could be made within the park. Once we share the plan, we will ask local people and park users to let us know what they think about the proposed changes. You can comment on the existing plan, and you can also let us know if you have any other suggestions or recommendations for the space too.
Keep checking this site for updates – the survey will be made available next week.
