Butterton Play Area Finally Complete

27 July 2012

Work has finally been completed at Butterton Play area in Staffordshire. The poor contractors (P2 Services) were held up for weeks whilst the site quickly turned to mud. However, they carried on through the rain and driving wind and the result is a great play area with timber towers, steel roundabouts and swings.

There are still a few bits of work to complete such as staining the equipment, completing the drainage and planting but the play area is open now and there will be opportunities for local people to get involved with the bulb and tree planting in the autumn.

Well done to everyone involved, especially to the Butterton Village Steering Group who got the funding from Community Spaces for this new facility and for their perseverance with the project with all the setbacks.
