Grow your own DOSH: – Effective Fundraising for Growing Groups
2 day course Thursday 3 April & Thursday May
From 10am – 3pm £100
This two day course is aimed at community groups and schools who are trying to raise funds for creating or extending environmental projects and have limited experience of fundraising – you must have a project in mind to bring with you and develop during the course. This is a hands on course looking at outcomes and why these are your magic key to success. Hulme Community Garden Centre will then begin to write a funding application for your project which you will continue as ‘homework’ (with ongoing email/phone support available from the trainer). Day 2 will see us develop our ideas and bids further and we will aim to submit them during June. The trainer, Rachel Summerscales, has over 20 years’ experience of successful fundraising and 7 years as a BIG Lottery advisor and assessor – as a trained facilitator and trainer she promises that her courses are social, interactive and will put the fun back into fundraising – honest!!
