Have Your Say on a New Greater Manchester Plan for Nature

Have your say on a new Greater Manchester Plan for Nature

Working with organisations from across the city-region, Greater Manchester Combined Authority has developed a new Plan for Nature – the Greater Manchester Local Nature Recovery Strategy.

The strategy sets out a roadmap for tackling the biodiversity emergency across Greater Manchester – setting out how we can all work together towards a greener city region where nature is thriving and where we need to focus our efforts to have the biggest impact. It contains a new vision, aims, targets, priorities, and actions to drive local nature recovery, alongside a mapped Nature Network.

Take part in the public consultation

GMCA are currently consulting on the draft Greater Manchester Local Nature Recovery Strategy. Anyone can help shape this plan. The public consultation is open from November 15th 2024 and will close on January 31st 2025. You can respond to the public consultation by clicking this link or visiting www.gmconsult.org.

Taking part in the public consultation ensures that the strategy reflects the views of residents, groups, organisations, and businesses right across Greater Manchester. Everyone’s voice matters and your feedback will then be used to shape the final version of the strategy.
