Picnicking at Davyhulme Nature Reserve
Work is well underway to create an outdoor classroom using felled timber from United Utilities sites and chunky reclaimed stone picnic tables around Davyhulme Nature Reserve, Trafford. Proffitts have worked with Woodsend Community Group and landowner United Utilities on proposals to encourage more groups to use the reserve and to enhance the biodiversity of the site. Swathes of colourful native bulbs will be planted amongst the woodland areas and nature feature posts installed to highlight some of the key wildlife that can be found on site.
This Sunday 21st October between 1 – 4pm, Woodsend Community Group and Proffitts are holding a bulb planting event and bird box making workshops around the site – all are welcome. Please come along and join in the fun.
