Fantastic news – last night, at the Development Control Committee, planning consent was granted for ‘Stacksteads Allotments’ by #Rossendale Borough Council. Proffitts have been working with the ‘Stacksteads Allotment Society’ and Lancashire County Council to prepare a drawing and planning application on behalf of the group. The site, next to the Riverside Park Walk, is a former garage colony and unused for 20 years. It will now have 18 half allotments for the local residents of Stacksteads.
